Over the last weeks DOCOMOMO International has been contact with our colleague Alexander Bouryak, Chair of DOCOMOMO Ukraine who is still staying in Kharkiv, the City of Constructivsm. Many other colleagues, friends and activists had to leave the country. In the meantime, the people continue to protect and to save houses, monuments and objects from further destruction for the future. 

To express our solidarity and to initiate joint activities of documentation and conservation DOCOMOMO International puts forward a Solidarity Statement on Ukraine. We like to thank Liz Waytkus from DOCOMOMO US for her support in shaping the document.
