The 18th International DOCOMOMO Conference is now officially over, and we think back fondly to the inspiring weeks of the Student Workshop and the Conference itself. We are immensely grateful to the the hosting Chapter – DOCOMOMO Chile, host institution – Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and the Organizing Committee of the Conference, who, with the guidance of Horacio Torrent created an unforgettable Conference for all attendees and participants.

We are delighted to announce that the 19th International DOCOMOMO Conference and Student Workshop will be held in Los Angeles, California, organized by Docomomo US and the US/SoCal Chapter. The Conference will take place in March 2026 under the proposed theme Multiple Moderns: Climate, Community, Creativity. We hope that you will join us in Los Angeles, and we thank the US team for their inspiring proposal!

We are equally excited to share that the 20th International DOCOMOMO Conference is already in the works, and our host for this anniversary conference will be Docomomo Greece, in partnership with Docomomo Macedonia and Docomomo Bulgaria. Stay tuned for more information!

We wish to extend a warm welcome to 6 new Docomomo Working Parties – Albania, Croatia, Lithuania, Nigeria, Montenegro and Portugal, who officially joined our global network after their approval on 12 December at the Council Meeting. Docomomo is now represented in over 80 countries worldwide, upholding the values and principles of Modern Movement heritage, its documentation, and conservation.
