Call for Papers for the symposium The P(r)o(bl)em at the University of Genoa

The international symposium The P(r)o(bl)em will take place on March 6, 2026, at the University of Genoa. The initiative is promoted within the PhD Program in Architecture and Design.

The P(r)o(bl)em aims to provide a space for scientific discussion dedicated to the study of wicked problems and to practices capable of interpreting, processing, and communicating contemporary complexity. Rather than offering solutions, the symposium aims to investigate the process of ‘problem’ formulation as a cognitive act, exploring transdisciplinary approaches, critical narratives, and emerging tools – including generative artificial intelligence – conceived as speculative and research resources.

The Call for Papers and Images is open to researchers, faculty members, PhD students, and designers interested in submitting theoretical, critical, or design-based contributions, accompanied by an original image by the author as an integral part of the scientific reflection.

12/18/2025 – Launch of the call for papers and images
