Following the success of the first Transformative Redesign Workshop in Tehran, Docomomo Iran is organizing the second edition in Shiraz from April 13–17, 2025. This workshop focuses on adaptive reuse and redesign of modern heritage, providing participants with hands-on experience in reimagining a significant modern building. It will be led by renowned architect Mehrdad Iravanian, accompanied by Hadi Naderi, Hanieh Basiri, and Salma Haeri. The workshop is a collaboration between Docomomo Iran, the University of Tehran, and Shiraz University of Art. It will explore innovative strategies for preserving and revitalizing modern heritage and aligns with Docomomo’s mission to promote the conservation and adaptive reuse of modern architecture.
