International Conference „Modernism # Progressive Heritage“

On 28 and 29 November, lectures and contributions by international experts will address the question of how the urban, architectural, cultural and social heritage of modernism can be better protected, communicated, and transformed. The conference, organised by members of the ETOM NEB Lab, will have a focus on Central Europe and will be held in English.

Projects and ideals of 20th-century modernism will be placed in relation to current political trends that seek to dismantle democratic and emancipatory values. The core question is: How can we make our joint progressive heritage productive, to derive answers for pressing current and prospective questions for a liberal and sustainable future?
