"The expo: BOZAR devotes an exhibition to one of the most famous modern artists and a passionate observer of a bubbling century: Fernand Léger

Focusing on the fragmentation and syncopated rhythm of a rapidly changing society, his paintings ignore artistic conventions. The urban landscape, crossed by vehicles and machines, was his favorite environment.

Before becoming a painter, Léger was an architect apprentice and throughout his life, he kept a special relationship with architecture. He shared the fascination of avant-garde poets for new forms of visual communication such as advertising and typography. He was dazzled by Charlie Chaplin and the cinema and, through his career, Léger worked with directors, choreographers and composers, designing sets and costumes.

This remarkable exhibition aims to present all facets of this giant of the twentieth century.
The exhibition "Fernand Léger. Beau is everywhere "was conceived and organized by the Center Pompidou-Metz in partnership with BOZAR, Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. It was realized with the exceptional support of the Pompidou Center, National Museum of Modern Art - Industrial Creation Center. We also thank our generous patron. With the support of the Brussels Promotion to the Wallonia-Brussels Federation."
