BOZAR - The Centre of Fine Arts in Brussels, would like to invite to the new exhibition "The Architecture of Optimism: The Kaunas Phenomenon 1918-1940".

As temporary capital of the newly founded independent Republic of Lithuania, Kaunas underwent a miraculous metamorphosis. In less than 20 years its inhabitants erected more than 12,000 buildings, transforming the city into a modern, elegant European capital.

The exhibition is organised in partnership with: The Ministry of Culture of Lithuania, Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania, Lithuanian Culture Institute, Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.

The exhibition is located in the BOZARīs Foyers, and is admission-free.
