On 6 September 2017, at 7 PM, a panel featuring†Aoki Jun (Architect), Ajisaka Toru (Professor, Kagoshima University), Matsukuma Hiroshi (Professor, Kyoto Institute of Technology) will discuss "What Modern Architecture means to us."

"With Le Corbusierís 17 architectural sites having been added to the World Heritage List last year, modern architecture is receiving much attention. However, in Japan, even widely recognized master works of modern architecture are being torn down due to physical aging and deterioration. In this program, we will reexamine the philosophy inscribed in Japanese modern architecture and the importance of preservation by inviting three experts in the field."
