Docomomo International is happy to announce the winner and 2 honourable mentions of the 1st Docomomo Photo Prize edition — Spring 2017, under the theme Art & Architecture.

Docomomo Photo Prize is an international photograph competition promoted by Docomomo International that is taking place every season according to a specific theme, through Instagram.

The jury panel of this edition is composed by:
  • Ana Tostões (Chair of Docomomo International and Full Professor at Técnico — University of Lisbon)
  • Horacio Torrent (Architect and Professor at FADEU - Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile)
  • Inãki Bergera (Architect and Photographer)
  • João Belo Rodeia (Docomomo International, Architect and Professor at University of Évora and Universidade Autonoma de Lisboa)
  • Zara Ferreira (Secretary General of Docomomo International)

The selected winner is Julio César Mesa Arboleda (Venezuela and Spain) with
a photograph of Centro Simón Bolívar (Cipriano Dominguez, Caracas, Venezuela, 1948).
